Lean Six Sigma White Belt - eLearning
This project is an eLearning solution. I designed it to help educate coworkers on the foundations of Lean Six Sigma.
Note: This is a shortened demo of the actual project and all identifying elements have been removed for proprietary and privacy purposes.
Audience:
Internal employees in a healthcare organization
Tools Used:
Articulate Storyline, Powtoon, Adobe XD, Adobe Illustrator
The Problem:
Learners sign up for the organization’s Lean Six Sigma Yellow belt training without the foundational knowledge of White belt Lean Six Sigma concepts and methodology. The Lean Six Sigma Yellow belt training currently does not require a White belt certificate.
Learners are asked to facilitate projects, but struggle to understand the purpose of the Lean Six Sigma methodologies and how they contribute to process improvement initiatives to help the healthcare organization become a High Reliability Organization.
The educational information provided to me was text-heavy and the concepts were hard to grasp when presented in a traditional presentation slide format.
The Learning Solution:
After conducting a Learning Needs Analysis with the Quality Programs department, I recommended designing an eLearning course consisting of animated explainer videos. The concepts covered in the course would include real-world examples that help connect the learner to their healthcare work environment.
This solution is ideal because:
Explainer videos simplify complex subjects and transform text-heavy online learning reading materials into easily digestible visuals, making a better learning experience as learners retain more information seamlessly.
